Just as Meta-Mythology is a birds-eye view analysis of mythology, and the rational development of new mythology, meta-spirituality is the birds-eye view of spirituality and the rational development of new spirituality.

Spiritual Epistemology
For me, an important thing to remember about spiritual experiences is to not forget the denominator. For each "spiritual coincidence" there might be many "spiritual false alarms". If you only look at the coincidences, it seems impressive. But when you divide the coincidences by the false alarms, it seems much more like randomness.
For example, recently my grandpa called us and got voicemail 3 times in a row. For some reason, the third call made me think that it was about something important, and I thought he might be experiencing a medical emergency. The emotion was strong enough to confuse with spiritual impressions to help my grandpa. Except - my impression was completely false. Grandpa was fine. If my grandpa HAD been in danger, then a superstitious version of me would think I had access to spiritual knowledge. This is only because we remember the coincidences and forget the failures.
