"One must imagine Sisyphus a hero."
The Sisyphus within each of us may become weary at the prospect of an endless repetition of toil and travails in the face of an endless supply of chaotic entropy that repeatedly attempts to undo our progress. But for each of us, a bigger game is at stake than our own trials. Each of our attempts to thwart entropy may seem futile in the moment, but we are pushing forward a system of order that secures the wellbeing of future generations. Each time we fight entropy, we secure more systemic happiness for the collective. Our failure to act means that all the entropy we failed to combat can now consume the happiness of those around you. If our suffering can make the world a better place, then perhaps it is worth it.
