My method of motivation-enhancing meditating
1. Get ready to be comfortable for the next 20 minutes.
2. Close eyes, focus on breathing for a second to relax and focus
3. Imagine my brain as a maze of memories, values, ideas and motivation.
4. Repeatedly ask myself questions about the source of my motivation and goals.
"What do I value?"
"What is important to me?"
“What is my purpose?”
“What is my power?”
"What do I love?"
"What am I willing to fight for?"
"What am I willing to sacrifice for?"
"What am I willing to suffer for?"
"What am I willing to die for?"
"What am I willing to live for?"
5. Let the subconscious part of my brain slowly process the questions, giving it time to search through the maze of my brain for the answers.
6. Let the answer to these questions slowly pop into my consciousness
7. Mentally state the answers that pop into my mind to confidently affirm them
8. If done well, the "meaning" cortex of my brain will activate and I will feel goosebumps all over (similar to the Christian holy ghost feeling)
9. Producing goosebumps means that my brain has located the "meaning" cortex and is now energized to provide me with a boost in focus and motivation.
10. A session done right will provide me with 24 hours of intense motivation/focus, and another 48+ hours of high motivation/focus. Intense motivation/focus means that I can work non-stop all day long without ever succumbing to distractions (which is unusual for me without meditation).
11. Sometimes it takes me three days in a row of 20-minute meditation sessions to produce the results because I don't have enough focus to produce goosebumps in the first two days of meditation
